WOT TO DO
O.K guys n girls wot shall i do
just put my 93wrx in to a steel fence
lost it at about 40 probably less (don't know wot whent wrong)
cliped curb span
went in front off side span scraped all down off side then rear end hit the post putting a rather nice crease in the boot, rear bumper etc
GUTTED
can't see the point in claiming on the insurance as they will just right it off and i'll never be able to afford the price hike lossing ncb
so do i just scrap it? if so were?
sell it spares or repair? if so wot value should be put on the car
the car still drives fine as i drove it home after wards
only owned the car 9 months spent a few quid (tear rolls down cheek)
just to gutted to think straight realy
so help us out and tell me were to go from here
sniff sniff
cheers

Didnt I read that someone on here had a full 93 wrx minus engine and gearbox for 2K. May be worth investigating and if you sell the unbroken parts from the original one youll get most of your money back !

I think you can get it fixed but you wont be able to sell it or go through your insurance because its illegel, providing the damage could be pulled out you would be stuck with it

Reno - Hope you're OK !
Anyone in with you >?
On the car front - how bad is it mate - If its drivable, maybe its a fixer - Might be worth seeing if Ian Talbot knows anyone, or anybody from the Darly crew has connections....
AEZ - What's illegal ? I don't think that repairing your own car, even if it means taking the engine and putting it in another shell is ! - You'd have to tell the DVLA, but I've swapped many engines in the past, never had a problem.....
Mark
PS - Where did it happen ?

Whats stopping you geting it fixed other than the cost??
And even when it's fixed there's absoutely nothing stopping you selling it, but you would need to tell whoever bought it, IF they asked, I don't think it's wrong not to tell someone if they don't ask, is it??
Ron.

Glad to hear you are ok mate. Bad news about the car though.
Options depend on money!
Option 1:
Take it to a body shop and get a quote for a repair (you may be surprised!).
Option 2:
Get a knackered car (i.e. knackered engine/gearbox) for a couple of grand and use the good bits on your car to get it going. You would have to tell the DVLA, your insurance company, and anyone you sell it to about this though (but wouldn't hugely affect resale if you had pictures and explained the situation - the biggest problem would be telling the insurance company!).
Option 3:
Sell it to someone with a knackered engine for spares. No more scoob, but some money in your pocket!
Option 4:
Claim on the insurance. The increase in premium might not be as bad as you think..... or if it was, you could always sell it come renewal time.
Hope it works out mate.

Reno, if you want pictures I could come round and take some with the digi camera and post them if you want.
