what type of scooby am i exactly driving???
hi peeps this is going to sound really stupid.
i got a jdm wrx its registered as a my96 'n' reg.
its mica blue, with gold 16" wheels, it has a sticker on the back as well as on the seats bearing colin macraes name and something to do with a rally win somewhen (bit vague soz) it also has v-limited and 0451/1000 on this sticker.
what am i actually driving, is it simply a wrx with stickers on or something a little different.
the chassis number according to the log book is GC8-040155 i looked on the SIDC and couldn't see those numbers.
hope someone can help.
thanks
scott

The only thing i can find is this:-
Its definately a WRX V-Limited, 1000 units produced to commemorate Colin Mcrae and Subaru's sucess in the WRC, these went on sale 1st feb 96, there is also an STi version which is a 555 limited production, it looks like the STi was in blue only, the WRX had the choice of blue, black mica and feather white.
There are these features also....
as you have stated, an aluminium plaque with the number of x out of 1000, gold sti 5 spoke alloys, green tinted glass, an FIA approved emblem on the tail stateing that subaru was the 1995 world rally champion.
Hopefully thats answered your question
Tony
PS its still 260ps btw

Just hoping that one day I see one in the flesh and manage to get the details off it.
