Question I am having problems......

Hi

Right to start I posted on here about six weeks ago regarding my purchase of my first Imprexza.

In the six weeks I have had it the dealer has had it more than me trying to repair problems and fixing things the AA report picked up.

Just got my car back today but has to go back in on Tuesday for the rest of the repairs, they have had it a week and have only changed the tyres.

The AA reccomened that I returned my car to the vender as i was ripped of paying 8k for a M reg WRX import.

But this is not my problem, when I was picking my car up today I saw and fell in love with another WRX import.

It has been on the front cover of max power and I dont have to wait till it has been registered etc.

It is purple pearlesant flip paint, 18 or 19" alloys and loads of other mods and is only £7499

I want to keep my other WRX as i love it and buy the other one so we will be two scoob car family.

My hubby thinks I should part ex my other car, i have to be at the garage at 10 am in the morning if I want this car as I think it may very popular.

My problem is trying to decide if I should dare risk buying another car from the dealer and if i part ex my car i know i wont get 8k back for my car.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Cheers

Clare

Personally I'd say leave it. After the fuss you've just been through.

You could always try to take your car back on the premise that all these things are just not being fixed in good time, and then maybe you could just bargin for a swap.

This is not meant to sound harsh but why go back to a dealer that has given such poor service ? These outfits will never learn unless people start 'voting with their feet'

Get your money back and walk away thats my advice. What's to say this other car is any better ?

There are plenty of genuine scoobs for sale.

Oh, and if you are not a car expert get the AA inspection done before you part with your money.

Good Luck !!

Hi martyn

I bought my car from them a few weeks ago, thery aint that good like are they but I am an impulse buyer lol.

We have had nothing but problems with then trying to get my car repaired.

We asked them for a car theat we could use whilst they had ours because we know they did that, they had the cheek to offer us our knackered escort back that we would have been luck to get out of the forcourt, when we said no we got our car back.

It still needs to go back as it still needs a new head tank.

I would certainly not advise any one went there or any other dealer there as i know some one who bought a car from another dealer there and she was messed around.

the whole lot of them are bandits! i suppose the new cars might be ok but i would not buy anything secondhand from any of them! christ one dealer had a t reg vtr for 5k for ***** sake.they were all dodgy before they went to that place and none of them have cleaned up their act.i feel sorry for people who think that they all must be above board and genuine just because the are part of this big fourcourt.

What are the problems with the car? There's quite a few technically minded peeps on here that can tell you if they are easy to fix, how long it "should" take and wether or not it's better getting rid of it.

Hi there is nothing "major" apart from the header tank,

Just things like they put tyres that are far too big on and on my way home from picking the car the day i bought it i hit a bot hole and cracked the wheel arch.

They only thing they wont fix is the drivers wing mirror it wont turn in, the motor has gone and they say you cant buy them for the import wrx, which i know is poo just have to buy the wole unit and paint it etc.

I just dont see why I should pay to have these things fixed, I kow i could change the interior light bulb but its a principle thing lol.

Sounds like a case of the dealers not pulling their finger out
