I must admit I noticed this when I first got the car. Mind you, I'm quite a large lad (I mean across the hips! Don't like to boast!) so maybe that's why. I don't notice it these days though so whether the seats have fitted themselves to my body shape or whether it's going through the 1000 mile barrier I'm not sure.

Either way, it's not a problem anymore

These were forwarded onto me about the DCCD. Not sure how accurate they are though:

I have a new WRX-STI Type UK, dont know if the seats are the same but i to find that the seats dig in a big i find myself having to adjust myself in the seat several times, it bites half way between the knee and top of leg if that helps, really pisses me off.

Are you chaps actually driving the car or performing another manoeuvre in the seat to cause the discomfort

Good point. Will test out your theory with the woman later!! Then again, I gave the car a full valet last night so I'll keep her in the kitchen where she belongs... trust me, she needs the practice!!!

Have to say the seats in the WR1 (which are the same ones as in the SpecC Ltd) are the most comfortable I've been in (even compared with the Evo's which were very body hugging), they keep me right in place and I've been on 7-8hr drives in my car and been fine every time

Must admit Im a bit undecided on my WR1 seats at moment.Had an rb5 for 5 years and the seats were very comfy in that, but I cant decide if its the newness of these seats that is the problem.I suppose the rb5 seats became like a favourite armchair after so long,so maybe another few weeks and I,ll forget about it,or my tharse will spread these new ones into a more comfy shape.!!

I believe they are the same seats as a regular STI only a different colour
I find them extremely comfortable, much better than my MY02 and MY99. Maybe some of you guys have legs like Popeye after a tin of spinach

No complaints about mine either, but then like some others I am quite skinny.

As for how much better they get after the 1000 mileservice I will find that out tomorrow

Brian,
Did you have or tried the seats a MY02STi ?

the reason I ask, I 14st and have a MY02STi, but found the MY03/4STi seats didn't suport me like my seats. Did you find the MY02 seats tighter than the yours? or are supporting differently !!!

Please take no ofence,

Tony

havent tried any other seats, jumped out of the Type R into the Wr1

maybe the Type R seats had folded themselves out a bit due to the miles i used to do in the R ?

Im hoping the WR1 seats will bend a bit over time LOL
