Hi All,

I have an MY01 with the Bucket seats (Dutch Import). Unfortunately due to problems with my back I’m going to have to change them for some custom made seats. As this is going to cost me a small fortune I’d like to offset the cost by selling the original seats. Any idea what they are worth ? (I know the obvious answer is what someone would pay !)

Two immaculate (< 2.5K Miles) MY01 Bucket Seats ... £200 ? £400 ?

Just to give you a rough idea on prices,I paid £350 for a set of front and rear seats from a MY98 for my car.This was the cheapest I could find at the time,most places wanted £450 and some up to £550.
I'm not sure how high demand will be for seats from a MY01 but if its anything like the seats from the old shape you should have no problem seling them.

Hi Andy,

Sorry to hear about your back - i had exactly the same problem but luckily tested the buckets first. i find the sport seats on my WRX are wide enough but not THAT supportive of you lumbar - so you may need a cushion (helps me!) will still be neccesary. Hope you sell them ok!

andy what type of seat have you got coz as i understand subaru offer two types with the my01 a high back seat or a seat with side airbags there is a difference?

They're the High back bucket seat (Non Airbag). (Same as the MY00 standard seat I think).

Thanks for your interest. A couple of points:

1 – The fabric is black nylon with dark grey panels (Same for all MY01’s) - Trim Code B20
2 – Aren’t these the same as your standard seats in a MY99 ?
3 – The fittings LOOK exactly the same as my old MY97 but no guarantee on that !

If you are looking for a buyer, I may be interested. I am hoping they fit an MY99 (sure they do). Do you know the colour code at all?

My standard seats are black/blue fleck with grey inserts so maybe slightly different to yours.

The reason why I am after the replacement is that my drivers seat seems to have this fault in the fabric where it is rapidly wearing on the base and is going to look very unsightly soon. It is a Euro import so had a 1 year warrantee and the dealers are asking an arm and a leg for the base replacement, so I figured I may as well go for newish seats.

As long as they don't look too out of place with the rear seats in colour I'm still interested. How do I mail you off-line to give you an offer?
