Default Got theType R Bug again!!!

HI All.. I have seen Another Type R For sale It Is a 98Sti V4 Just Been Imported. I would realy like a V5 but not seen any in my price range. What are the main differences between these and would it be worth me waiting for a V5??? Very tempted but dont want to be silly..
Any help much appreciated..
Cheers Mark...

front bumper and rear spoiler are the obvious ones. *maybe* slight differences with engine, but i if so not much difference, basically they are the same cars. All IMHO NOT FACTS!

Main difference between the 2 is the V5 has the later 2 slat bumper crystal headlights and big rear wing.Interior is identical.V5 has the phase 2 engine which has the (dare i say it) weaker MAF and has a VF28 turbo as opposed to the VF24 on the V4.Also the ecu on the V5 i believe can be remapped so not much in it at all.I have a V4 type R with all the V5/6 facelift parts on and it looks identical in every way pay your money and take your choice at the end of the day

hmmm, wouldnt say not much in it.

phase 2 being ecutekkable is a very big deal as it means you can safely improve the performance without the cons of fitting an aftermarket ecu.

phase 2 heads also flow more as standard and are therefore a better starting position if you start modding.

I've only just bought one of these. Its a totally mental machine. Was going to do as above but heard the apexi power fc suited it best instead of the ECUTEK. Does anyone have experience of both?
