Default Need help identifying L reg Import...

Garage at the end of the road has a mint L reg import turbo in.

Its got no markings on it, red mint interior with a nice momo wheel.

Its got a standard looking twin pipe exhaust.

Is there a way from teh exterior I can tell if this is an STi or a WRX?

The garage seem to know **** all and dont return my calls/mails. It used to be for sale as an STI, I emaile dthem asking for the number on the plate under the bonnet and never got a reply. Now the ads cahnged and its being advertised as a "sports saloon", how gay.

Its up at silly money too, although on the phone when they said it was an sti they offered it for 5900. If its a wrx I'd offer them 4500 or walk, noone will buy it here and I can see it still sitting there in 6 months!

Sounds like a standard WRX which came with red interior and momo wheel. STI will usually have embroidered logos on seat and if you can look under the bonnet, the manifold should be red. Also check it's got a rear wiper, air con and no headlight washers or it's just a UK car, but from your description of the interior, it does sound like an import

240ps I believe were the first WRX power figures.

1st STI doesnt have a red manifold. Interior were all black and grey inserts with STI logo.

Cool, luckily I'm not in basra

23, 4 years ncd, lowest crime zone etc. Only thing thats not perfect is car is kept on driveway and not in garage.

I paid a grand when I was 20 on the 19, tpft, christ I was stupid

Will pop in on Saturday I think, have a word and see how clued up they are, I really don't think they know what it is at all.

I'll offer them 5k, they will refuse point blank, I'll leave my number and say ok then call me in 6 months when it's still there. Then if they do call back they must be desperate to get rid and I'll give em less

If they don't call or it sells no loss, plenty about. Interior on this one looks mint though, and the enkei alloys are quite tasty.

Default i think its a 93 wrx

if its the silver one in karrs.co.uk then it was advertised as a sti, but the engine plate makes it a wrx 93, they dont know anything about imports there. pretty sure you can do better cheaper imo

22 with 4 years no claims and paying £1000 you must live in a really low ins part of the country!

I'm 25, 5 years no claims and I pay £1050, with exhaust mentioned as a mod, was £950 without zorst. I also have to have a tracker with that insurance (another £100 odd quid a year subscription) and £250 compulsory excess and £250 volountary exess.

That is also on a UK car!

I hate insurance
