PPP advice
Im thinking of getting ppp to fitted my my00. Thing is my insurance company want an extra £200 for the 10% power increase which is ridiculous on top of the £1600 for the ppp.. If I do this I may as well chop it in for an E36 M3 which Ive been thinking about anyway. Does anyone know of any insurance companies that would charge less for this mod.
Also has anyone gone from a scoob to an e36 M3 or vice versa and what did u think.
ps.
i dont what this to turn into the usual m3 vs scooby street race thread.

I came from the Beamer to the Scoob. My dealership were complete to55ers from day one tho I kept my car for 5yrs. All my BMs have never had any mechanical failure. Great cars but I have to say but the Scoob is so so much more entertaining than the BM.
If I was going to change my car it would definately be for another Scoob

If the cars a MY00 and I guess out of warranty why go down the PPP route ? Why not change the exhaust and get a 'sensible' remap, and save yourself a whole load of cash ?

Was thinking about going the ecutek route but would like to keep the warranty although I have a spare ecu. How reliable is the remap compared to the prodrive pack. Are there any remappers in the Surrey area.

Unless you've extended the warranty already I'd go down the TSL-333 or Power Engineering routes ... more fun, less money, cheaper insurance!! (Well, so far when I've tried to get a quote on a PPP'd Scoob).
"I'm sorry Sir but we don't insure the PPP'd version."
"OK, how much for a sports exhaust system & remapped ECU?"
"Ah, then that would be an extra £150 on your policy"
"OK, but that's essentially what the PPP is!"

"Arrgghh!!!"
