yes yes and yes
they can all have the same code but there seems to be different shades. I parked mine next to a p1 and 22b and all three looked a different colour

Careful with them codes - I had a DBM turbo a while back and wanted to patch up a little chip on the front (so I tried it on the back first), terrible matchup, there were 2 other codes that were much closer when it dried (got the guy in the dealership to test the lot for me).

my car has the 74f paint code - the official subaru touch-up pen doesn't match it, nor does the Halfords one; they are slightly darker. (car is a MY00)

p.s. can't offer a solution - apart from getting a paint shop to mix some up for u ....!

I have just ordered an 18L 'Graphite Black' touch-up stick from my local dealer for the pricely sum of £12.80!! Unfortunately Halfords didn't have the code in their database.
The parts guy said sticks for 'normal' colours are about £7.
If this stick is as naff (wrong colour/paint too thick) as I'm led to believe then it'll be whinging it's way back to Mr Parts Guy for a refund.
