Mer is not a good wax ihmo. Much more abbrasive than meguiars and I suspect will actually degrade your paintwork over time if you are not careful. I use Swissol stuff myself...

I recently purchased the 3-stage Meguiars system and it's excellent.

Used to use mer, now swissol... no comparison, and from what I've heard Meguiars is a close match (but cheeper).. Meguiars all the way
