You need to get a proper ecu done from such people as BR Developments or Power Engineering etc - don't muck about with pony stuff..

My one mate found his MY98 Scoob he has owned for 2 years had been 'Superchiped' and was totally unaware !!!!

But I would certainly agree with Neil@wrx If you'd like to 'Finish off' an Engine and see bits of Alluminum in your Exhaust, chipping is the first step

Pay a little bit more and get it EcuTek'd

Unhappy

quote from T5NYW

My one mate found his MY98 Scoob he has owned for 2 years had been 'Superchiped' and was totally unaware !!!!

As soon as i found out about it, i had it removed
The car had had an intermitant fueling problem but we could not track it down. The crank had also gone bang while still under waranty, but it was replaced free of charge by subaru. This could have been unreleated.
I bought the car as bog standard from a subaru dealer (or so i thought).

It was only when i took the car to be re-mapped at power engineering, that the superchip was discovered.
I have heard quite a few bad things on here about superchips, and would not knowingly ever fit one

Oh, and tony...
Who said you could call me a mate

Thumbs down

Spoke to superchips not long ago,n there chips are made to run with no other mods taken into account exhaust.filter etc so best bet is a remap.
