Check out the Subaru.co.uk website ... click on Subaru range, then on the WR1.
The car is amazing in all areas - the reson I bought one. You wouldn't regret it I'm sure. Either a WR1 or a Type25 (if you can afford the insurance etc) in my opinion

Thanks
I've already checked out the website - I even like the colour!
What's the general impression on the car, I've lost touch with Scooby land for a year or so. What's the car like in the wet? Servicing costs? Availability? I remember that Dealers had problems selling the last few P1's, is it the same with the WR1? Is the PPP standard in the price? Are there any mag road tests? I couldn't find one in Evo. Any photos of the interior?

The WR1 is an awesome UK car for the Price. Most of the Drivers wants "Tick boxes" are Ticked and fully covered by UK 3 year warranty
PPP is included in the Price
Check this months' EVO i think there is an article
I think Demand will outstrip supply, only 500 nearly all gone
Servicing a little bit more than the STD STiUK I think Oil change every 5Kmiles but to be honest most STiUKPPP owners do volentarily
IMHO AFAIR etc.

It's got the fancy DCCD thingy, so that's the best thing about it for me. Performance in the wet will be determined to a large extent on the tyres.
The biggest question is do you want to spend £30K on a Scooby. If you do and can afford it, then it's the best UK car you can buy at the moment. Only ones that would surpass it are the JDM Spec C and Type 25 IMHO.
Of course an STI would probably beat it with a decent driver behind the wheel and an average one in the WR1, so performance and handling is very subjective. certainly on paper it should be a winner, so grab a copy of next months Evo and have a look at their impressions.

Thanks for the info & links Ben.
Terry, do you know the results of the Evo test?
Thanks Tony, checking the colour in daylight is good advice! I agree that most of my wish list is already included in the WR1.

There's been a lot of bitching about the colour in other threds.
Myself I think that only 500 of these will be available, not 100's or thousands in the WRC Blue, no as common, and who wants to be common, not me.
But it was not just the colour that did it for me.
1, performance, power
2, 3 years warr
3, UK car
4, 500 world wide been made, only for the UK market.
Ordered mine in Feb, I'm like a little boy waiting for Xmas to come. But there's no delivery date available yet to get worked up about.
Can't wait, can you ?

There's one thing being unique, another having a bad colour. Colour makes a car and getting it wrong will spoil the look. Anyway, the colour is widely available in Europe so it's not that special. Having never seen it in the flesh, I'll reserve judgement.
One thing is it won't look like yet another WR Blue Scooby, so that's go to be something positive

I know your point when it comes to the colour.
from what I've seen................. pictures only and lots of them I can only say.
My god it give me a boner just thinking about it, need I say more.
Before all the flack comes my way for saying that.......... I do have a special female freind that feeds of my excitment and my thrills don't just come from the car.
But every day that passes there's more and more excitment.
May be we should all get a WR1 rally going when we all finally get the car delivered.

that sounds a great idea....will have to post a thread to try and organise something when most (I think) people will have their WR1..
I also am like a child waiting for Christmas.I just wish I was given a date to expect delivery all this suspense is killing me..nevermind it will be worth the wait I am sure!
