FAO Trouser @ TSL
I'm still waiting for my stuff and it's been some weeks now Just because I'm in Germany, shouldn't mean that there's any excuse for a big delay.
C'mon guys... I didn't want to say anything in public but I got no confirmation of my fax order and you ignored my last e-mail How about restoring my faith in one of the most popular Scooby suppliers there is?
Hoping for a quick reply,
Richard

Well I ring Australia a reasonable amount and it cost about £1.20 for 5 mins so it aint gonna break the bank now is it? Alot easier than posting on a forum which may be looked at .....if your lucky.
I reckon the world is going to the dogs ...... no-one wants to actually talk to people anymore, they would rather e-mail or text

Hi Richard
The reason for the delay is simple
I am still waiting for a reply to my mail of eons ago.. after your faxed order. requesting your credit card security number
sadly we cannot process the order without this.
I look forward to obtaining this to sort this for you.
Kind regards
Paul

Hi Paul,
E-mail received, faith restored Thanks. An e-mail had got lost in the ether somewhere.
Gutmann: how do I explain to my company about a phone call to England to a car parts supplier? Also TSL do watch the forums pretty closely (see Paul's post above) so I knew that if (for instance) I had some contact details wrong, then this would be a way to sort it out. I hate "this world is going to the dogs" stuff... people have been saying that for thousands of years .
Cheers to TSL for the quick response
Richard

True, but I know Richard - he is a decent guy (send me the cheque in the post ) - he doesn't make a fuss without reason. Ultimately it is down to customer service. As easy as it is for Richard to pick up the phone, a supplier should be prepared to acknowledge an order or reply to an email. The customer should not need to chase the supplier for such information.
I'm sure there are perfectly genuine reasons why this has happened. I've dealt with TSL in the past and they've always been very good. However, Richard is entitled to a response.

Edited to say that I got delayed writing my response as the phone rang. Good to see it has been sorted out. Chris

Guys
This is one of the main reasons why we tend to remove this kind of post.
As can be clearly seen, reading the first post on this thread you could consider TSL to be evil and unprofessional. Then we get to Trouser's post (thanks for taking the time to read and post - shows a healthy interest in your customers on scoobynet) we realise that (if anyone) it was the customer who was at fault (if "fault" is the right word).
ScoobyNet is a powerful place to voice your opinions, but imagine if TSL were not as actively supportive of ScoobyNet and indeed didn't know to read or post. Their name could have been dragged through the dirt unfairly.
I would ask everyone to think carefully about that kind of thing prior to posting in this way.
Regards
Simon

Hi Simon,
Sorry, never my intention to drag anyone's name through the mud. I have nothing but the highest respect for the guys at TSL, as they are extremely supportive of all things Scooby-related, and ScoobyNet too. However I was just a little disappointed to have received no reply either to my fax or to my e-mail, which was why I resorted to this post. In retrospect I agree it would have been better to pick up the phone and call them, but as I stated above, it's not easy for me to do that where I work, as all calls are logged and have to be justified.
Equally Simon I would not post something like that if I didn't know that TSL actively watch ScoobyNet, as (a) it would be pointless as I would get no response, and (b) it wouldn't be fair. Neither was my intention.
I'm now perfectly happy that this was just caused by two e-mails going missing in the ether (one from TSL, one from me) and am very happy with the way TSL have dealt with this.
By all means now lock this thread (or delete it if you wish).
To summarise (for the "last-post-only readers") : I am happy with the way TSL have dealt with me and will continue to use them for Scooby supplies.
Hope that clears things up .
Cheers
Richard
ps Simon: Sorry to put you on the spot but thank you for giving me the opportunity to reply. However I never even remotely said TSL were "evil" ; and nor is it clear that it is my fault from TSL's post. Two e-mails (one in each direction) were quite simply not received, so there is really no blame on either side to my mind.

Glad it's all sorted out.
Andy - no I don't think so. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a simple confirmation of an order. Regardless of who it is and this is in way aimed at TSL. It is just a general comment on customer service.
Probably best that this is continued on a different thread, rather than diverting Richard's original post.

Simon if TSL where not an active supporter of SN I doubt Richard would have posted here.
As everyone knows you can wait ages for an answer to an email but you usually only have to wait minutes for a reply on here because there is usually somebody who knows if there are any circumstances why emails can not be answered.

Thanks for the support guys
Chris - in fact TSL had replied but their e-mail got lost in the ether. Then for some reason they didn't get my follow-up either.
So methinks AOL is actually to blame for all this .
But the situation is resolved now - Si perhaps you could lock the thread? Ta...
