laser ed - No need to shout chap!!

Have a search on here, have read something similar with regard to the fuel used. Seems Optimax can be the issue and so some people alternate between Optimax and BP Ulimate which seems to sure the problem.

full throttle?

could be overboost.

I've also heard this is a symptom of possibly a failing MAF sensor.

PS turn off caps

How severe is the backing off? head against the windscreen job or just a mild loss of power?

The MAF is just after the Air box in the pipe work

From what i've experienced...

Overboost, was like someone switching off the engine, resulting in severe jerking (as said above)

Failed Maf. felt like the car was really hesitating/missing, but no real jerkiness.

Hope this helps.
May be best posting in Drivetrain or General Technical though.
