Cool

I am considering in starting to supply AP 4&6 Pot brake kits / AP racing clutches for scoobies!

As this is an enquiry post, anybody that is SERIOUSLY interested please register your interest. If I am to go ahead with this, I need to ensure that holding stock etc will be worth while!

Example approximate prices are:-

4 Pot AP brake kit 330mm (this means everything is included) - the same as Stef's set-up, but bigger discs! £1350.00 (My source tells me that this is hopefully due to drop soon!)RRP in excess of £1500.00

AP organic racing clutch £340.00 - includes plate and cover. RRP = £400 Bearing can be supplied at an extra cost.

All these prices INCLUDE vat!

Fitting of brake kits can be arranged, at an extra cost.

This is obviously not the entire range of brakes and clutches available, but at least an idea of pricing is given.

Shaun.

And the guarantee will be provided by who?
Scatman International Ltd?

Stef.
PS The bigger discs are the same price as the smaller ones everywhere, but won't fit under 16" wheels.

There is a difference in disk price, but the KITS cost the same because the ZX pads in the 16" kit retail at about £160, and the DS2000 pads in the 17"/330mm kit retail at about £65. AP claim the ZX pad is used in the 16" kit, to compensate for the 305mm disk.

Mark. Ps. Good prices Shaun.

Wink

All items sold are boxed as new, and come with the same guarantee as anywhere else!
The reason for them being CHEAP, is that I am able to get them direct from AP racing in Coventry, and pay the same as re-sellers do, but not make as much profit All above board!

As regards to what brakes will fit what wheels, I will be getting hold of some profile cut-outs, so people can check before purchasing.

Release bearing is approx £50.00 + vat!

Mark

Yes your right (see sometimes you ARE! , both the 16" & 17" kits are priced the same.

Shaun i wish you well with your venture to bring cheaper top quality products to us all on the Scooby Net.

If you look back a couple of months through the threads you'll notice this was attempted before with AP and Brembo brake kits.Unfortunately the backlash this chap received from some of the suppliers and their backers made his efforts pointless.

I hope it takes off this time and people do place orders.

Also be nice to see Mr P Bennett back on the BB since he was hounded away for only trying to do us all a favour.bit like you Shaun.

Ian...

This has only come about due to the general interest of people wishing to upgrade there brake systems.

If there is not enough interest, the venture will not proceed.

I am not interested in making a business out of it, only to help other people out (and may be make a FEW quid, for myself)

Shaun.

Talking

Shaun i thoroughly understand your intentions and the fact that your only making a small sum to cover postage etc.

I made an inquiry to buy an AP kit from Phil Bennet and was going to purchase the set until he was hit with endless questions and claims that he was not being supplied with the correct parts. He eventually stopped replying to the thread and as I said before I haven't heard from him since.

I have the AP kit from Scooby Mania (3 weeks old).Whos to say the kit he was selling wasn't indeed the one I bought, but only £250 cheaper.

I think you should repost this in the Wheels/Brakes section.

As I said earlier I'm on your side and good luck.

..Ian Sutton.

Yes, I'll be up for some of these at this price

I think you'll need an advertiser banner though.
