Full Rebore
Big End Bearings
Overhaul heads

New Sports pistons (WISECO)
New Sports piston rings
New Clutch
New Water Pump
New Head Gaskets, inlet gaskets and rocker
New Boost Control Valve
New Turbo intake pipe

What Oils should i put in my car yesterday i put castrol 10-40 fully synthetic..

Just that ticking sound the bloody injectors so annoying. any way to make them bit quiter. Subura bloke sed if they tick then thats normal and if they dont then u got problems..

Oil sounds okay to me.

As for ticking injectors - turn the stereo up!

as for the oil i maybe put a bit to much in . wierd on the dipstick it come to the full marker. on the other side of the dripsticks it goes over the full markers

let me explaint Where its got F and L ive got it to the F at the moment. when i look at the other side its a little over well wierd. different heights either side... should i just look on the side with F and L on ?????. Which the oil is set to the Full level???????

Do the Injectors tick from the left and rights where both sides of the spark plugs meet the engine???? . That where its sounds like its ticking????

Cheers

Dave - I have the same prob trying to get an accurate reading. I have found that it's best to remove the dipstick for say 15 mins and I think this allows any oil to run back down into the engine so you should get a consistent reading on both sides of the dipstick !!

How many miles has the engine done since the rebuild?

Is there such thing as castrol 10w-40 fully synthetic?

Last time I looked Castrol only did 10w-40 in semi-synthetic or Mineral only(magnatec or GTX) and 0w-40 was full synthetic (RS/Edge Sport) well, a hydrocracked mineral IIRC.

Castrol are very naughty when they put "Synthetic Engineering" on their containers of semi-sythetic oils.

No real worries if it is semi, as that what Subaru use on standard engines anyway I'm just being pedantic

It is a bit odd though, changing the oil and 'then' asking for advice!
