Try giving the following two companies a call:-
Roger Clark Motorsport
or
Lateral Performance
I'm sure Simon or Mark at the respective companies will be able to help as both have had 2.5's in stock over last few months.

u could try www.mastrowrx.com
they are in tampa and i was in there yesterday and got a bargain on some dba front discs and braided break lines. most of their aftermarket stuff is fm mrt and aps. they may know where you can pick up a 2.5 as they say thay get a fair few calls fm uk. prices for kit is spot on too, better than overinflated uk prices.

Dave,
Scoobyclinic are fitting an STi II RA engine to mine as we speak - and only because I couldn't stretch the pennies to the 2.5 block. I'm jealous Seriously though, do let us know what it's like... and I hope you get it sorted soon. (I may still consider it a future upgrade).

Quote for the 2.5 build was £3.5K - £4K fitted. The reason the RA engine is cheaper is because they had it sitting there at the workshop. Graham good charge nearly £3K for the RA engine alone (not inc. fitting) - so you're probably right there!

Dave,
we didn't talk horsepower, but i know someone who has bored out to 2.2 and blew his 3rd gear on the rollers at 400 bhp. i have heard figures of 450 - 500 bhp banded about.
the main benefit i think will be the generation of big torque at low RPM and at lower boost. i guess the effect of that would be that you wouldn't notice any turbo lag and presumably could run a bigger turbo without loss of driveability. generating so much torque would probably mean an uprated box and clutch would be required (as in the aforementioned instance).
i'm certainly no expert but am picking up tit bits of useful info along the way.
