And in any case, 98 octane is available at almost every garage, at cheaper prices than the UK over there.

Red face

If you do plan to fill up over in France just be sure to do it during regular daylight / office hours. Had an experience last Boxing Day where we were almost out of fuel between Calais and the Belgian border and the only petrol station we could find was 24hr / cards only. Great in theory, but the machines would not accept the British, Dutch or Swiss cards that we had on us (French cards only?). Luckily, a friendly local kindly guided us to a regular station that was open. Fuel light was on for more than 50km and anxiety levels were somewhat above medium .....

Why dont you want to fill up in France. Do you like paying more for your fuel then?

Chip.

If you go to City Europe - there one on the D243 (route de boulogne) between Coquelles and Les Baraques - its on the main road on one of the roundabouts. Come out of City Europe and head for J12 - but stay on for Coquelles - just keep going and you cant miss it. Shame they dont do Optimax - its just 98 RON!!
