Thumbs up

Well, I would have helped an old pal had I known what the hec you were on about!

In my day a Dawes was a Racing Bike all us kids dreamed about - can't even remember if it had any wires at all? Oh, hold on a minute, it did have a couple in the rear lamp - Red and Black I seem to remember?

Did that help?

Hope it gets sorted -

Pete

Pete,
I'm sure I remember seeing a Dawes push bike in a museum somewhere, can't for the life of me think what I was doing there though!!

Don't take the p*** RON. This is a public forum, not a private helpdesk. The reason is normally because nobody who knew the answer happened to see your post, and that would appear to be the case this time.

If you'd left it a little more than three hours before complaining about "not getting any help", no doubt it would have been answered in due course. If it was that urgent, why didn't you phone the supplier of the AFR meter?

Bought the AFR from a mate, and I literally had the car in bits!!
Still, thanks very much for your assistance, it looks as though I got it right!
Cheers.

Angry

greasmonkey, do you ever have anything positive to say?
You are without doubt, THE most negative poster on SN.

If you didn't have any advice for Ron why bother posting a negative and insulting reply?

There are way to many people on here who are very brave when sat in front of their computer.
What I wouldn't give to get some of you in the ring for a couple of rounds, we would see how brave you all are then.

Sorry Ron, rant over

Say again? You weren't on my Christmas card list anyway Gypsy, so I'm not going to lose any sleep about not being on yours. I thought it was a little out of order complaining about "not being helped" just three hours after posting the original query, and didn't see anything wrong with saying so. As mentioned, this is a public forum, not a private support network.

As for "not having anything positive to say", I did actually post on the other thread with the correct answer to Ron's original question, which seems rather more constructive than just moaning about other people's opinions and posting styles, don't you think?
