Thanks all for the constructive comments yesterday, no thanks to the person who's the name caller on my first time question!!
As i mentioned on my previous question, new tyres are being fitted today so will run em in fer a bit.
Wot can i expect in terms of steering feel in the Impreza??, am tempted to take the car on a track to suss it out cos i've been driving front wheel drive cars for to long!!!

If you can, see if you can get yourself to an airfield day, or find one that doesn't mind you practicing a bit. At least on an airfield you shouldn't be put under pressure by other drivers, and you won't have to worry about running into armco or kitty litter.
Not sure how easy it is to find one though, but someone on here might be able to point out your local one.
By the way, I do mean disused airfield, not one with planes still landing

New tyres will take 500-1000 miles to scrub in properly.
That said, if you are going for a quality brand the improvement will be noticeable straight off!
I hope it solves your roundabout problem!

As was mentioned in the other thread, get your geometery checked out as well! It seems pointless getting new tyres all round for them to be worn out prematurely by bad geometery settings.
I personally found the Prodrive settings made the car too jittery on the motorway, but absolutely fantastic on B-roads. They may also wear the inner edge of your front tyres quicker as well. Although I'm sure there will be other people who won't agree with my statement!
Prodrive settings:
Front Camber - Maximum equal negative (about 1.25°, but varies from car to car)
Front Toe in - 1mm
Rear Camber - Not adjustable
Rear Toe in - 1mm
I used modified Prodrive settings as I was doing a lot of motorway miles, so I wanted better front tyre wear and stability on the motorway. Although the compromise was the about of 'bite' into corners, it was still better than the standard Subaru settings.
Modified Prodrive settings:
Front Camber - 0.5° to 0.75° equal negative (as long as they are the same)
Front Toe in - 1mm
Rear Camber - Not adjustable
Rear Toe in - 1mm
The best option is to get the Bumpsteer Modification - Scroll down to 'Subaru Impreza Geometry Modification' which is done at PowerStation which gives a more balanced feel and dials out understeer. The problem most people find, is that they are based in Cheltenham!

When I changed from Pirelli to Toyo the difference was immediately noticed - even whilst scrubbing in..
In terms of how a scoob should feel - it should be very direct and chuckable.. hope that helps..

Andy ! I had the garage check my set up and they mentioned MY95 was wearing on the inside it has the prodrive set up.
I take it NOT to get that adjusted ?
IF it helps get decent tyres back and front I had two different and expensive types on my old MK2 golf gti - it tried to kill me on roundabouts several times !
