SECS monitors....

Considering getting one for my classic, are they worth the outlay?? It would (hopefully) be an Xmas pressie and after watching the mpeg of the display on ScoobyWorld I quite fancy one!! Are they really just 'plug and play'?? Any opinions welcome....

Plenty of stuff's already been written about these things, so searching on the word SECS would no doubt give you a lot of useful info.
Short answer is that they give you access to a lot of useful info that can't easily be obtained by standalone gauges.
However, there are areas where standalone devices are more useful. If you haven't already got them, a manual boost gauge, KnockLink and AFR meter should be above the SECS in the list of "things to get".

Have looked and must have read nearly every thread on SECS. But none of them answered my main question. Do they display things such as revs, peak boost, boost from just the one plug????
