Hi Sheff scoobs,

Today my wife was at work (in mosborough area), security guard comes and warns her of strange behavior of a car outside.

We have a standard MY02 WRX, nothing special - he says another scoob was parked up with some lads in it eyeing up our car.

My question is does anyone know of/own/had stolen a black or dark blue classic scoob with large spoiler reg no V***GKW (I have the full no - just havnt given it to protect incase its friendly).

May just be security guy overreacting, but he says he deffo saw em looking hard at my car. No prob if its another entusiast, I look and admire all scoobs from the earliest classics to the newest STi's, just wanna put my mind at rest.

Thanks Andy

My advice would be to get a disklok if you havn't already got one and try not to worry about it too much... up the security and try not to loose sleep over it.

Most likely it'l have been some enthusiastic scooby owner

Re: "get a disklock and up security"

Dicklock may help stop somebody breaking into car and stealing but would only slow you down if you are car-jacked whilst trying to remove all these devices.

I had a dicklock on mine but have now decided against. At least without the lock it doesn't take long for me to get into car, lock doors and start engine, thus shortening the lenght of time when your highly vunerable.

Just my views, but if somebody is to steal my car I would rather it not be violent (eg, point a gun at me whilst I'm getting into car and removing devices).

BOB'5

You have a good point. My eldest bro thinks the same way... the way i see it is we should make it as hard as possible for them to take the car and stand our ground the best we can.. ok if someone has a gun to your head co-operate completely and hopefully they'll leave you alone and just take the car. but dont make it easy for them to take it.that simply encourages them.(not that they need encouraging) but they can be detered by extra security.

Bro even leaves his car door open (its n astra diesel worth about £100 if that) says he'd rather they take the stereo than smash the window and take the stereo (or the car)
Whent to play futy got back to his car and someone had opened the door and while trying to break the steering lock they snapd the steering shaft thus made off with the steering! he still leaves the door unlocked! He'd lock it if it were a more expensive car though.

Dicklock may help stop somebody breaking into car and stealing but would only slow you down if you are car-jacked whilst trying to remove all these devices.

I've seen alot of people looking round my car, peering through the windows, checking out the wheels.

I used to get a bit paranoind about it all but now I just tend not to think about it.

I've had two cars stolen from me before, each one being written off. I'm not gonna let the little scum stop me having the motor I want.

F**K 'em!!!
