Question

That is the question.

They are a lot of money, but you cannot beat the look of a 22B.

What do people think, anyone got any pictures of fitted kits ??

Chris.

Spend the money on mods you can sell after you get bored of them or take off before you sell your car and find out the mods dont mean $hit and wont get you the extra £2000 they cost you.

Exclamation

I can't believe there are people telling you to save up and get the 'real thing'!

If you want a 22B body kit on your car, go for it!!

It would be like saying to everyone with an STI spoiler on a UK car to save their money and buy an STI instead!!

Thumbs down

Your choice really.

IMHO it's a waste of money. You'll spend your life explaining to people that it's not actually a 22B, etc. etc.

Anyone know anywhere cheaper than this ????????

Wide arch bodykit for 4 door Subaru WRX converts to RB22. Complete kit consists of side skirts, door skins, front bumper and grill, rear bumper, 2 piece rear spoiler, wheel arch mouldings, front wings, £1295 + VAT (new).

it will cost you a few scrapped knuckles and plenty of hours frustration.

I think it's DIY.

Red face

shocking......... your stepping back into the realm of the nova boys slapping tons of fibreglass and filler all over the scoob! IMHO, leave the scoob how it is and spend on running gear or buy a 22B ?

600lbs heavier?

what utter cr4p.

the front and rear bumpers are lighter than standard, and the front and rear arches replace the standard ones with ones which bend differently.

where do people get their info from?

600lbs is about 250kgs ffs! they would have to be made of gold to weigh anything like that much!

well a type r is about 1270kg.

so you think a 22B is 50% heavier almost?

iirc, the book weight for a 22B is actually 40kg lighter than the type r.

Gotta agree with Floppy, Spend the money on running gear or some subtle bits of body work.... MRO front splitter and side skirts.

The problem with the 22B body kit is, yes it flares the arches out but then the car looks naff because the offset hasn't changed on the wheels and the car dwarfs them.

IMHO it doesn't look nice, makes the car heavier and you will probably get the grief that escort boys get when they try and make their 1.3 Ghia look like a cossy!!!

Do you not fit spacers to the wheels to make them look correct ?

Were not talking a sticky back plastic kit here - this will be professionally fitted and replace current arches etc. i think the pictures look quality !!

mate, the gap is massive... you would need to stick a Turbo nut between the wheel and the hub to get the right distance it's that big!

22B wheels will only fit a 22B and you'll be hard pressed to find some wheels that will fit the car convincingly and make it look nice!!
