That is the question.

They are a lot of money, but you cannot beat the look of a 22B.

What do people think, anyone got any pictures of fitted kits ??

Chris.

pugoetru 26 September 2003 01:04 PM

beter spending your money on speed/ handling

minty 26 September 2003 01:05 PM

Doing that as well....my credit card company love me :(

rb5 286 26 September 2003 01:06 PM

buy a real one or spend ur money on power/handling.

IMHO

scooby-si 26 September 2003 01:10 PM

get the real think m8 ;):D

minty 26 September 2003 01:21 PM

better start saving eh. One day...one day :)

Boro 26 September 2003 01:47 PM

Spend the money on mods you can sell after you get bored of them or take off before you sell your car and find out the mods dont mean $hit and wont get you the extra £2000 they cost you.

scooby-si 26 September 2003 01:50 PM

paul did u find any more out about my car m8???

Andy Tang 26 September 2003 02:03 PM

I can't believe there are people telling you to save up and get the 'real thing'!

If you want a 22B body kit on your car, go for it!!

It would be like saying to everyone with an STI spoiler on a UK car to save their money and buy an STI instead!!

Duck_Pond 26 September 2003 02:22 PM

Your choice really.

IMHO it's a waste of money. You'll spend your life explaining to people that it's not actually a 22B, etc. etc.

specialx 26 September 2003 02:33 PM

the 22b weighs in at over 600lbs heavyer than a standard scoob most of the etra weight is the wings!! so it may look nice but it will slow you down!!

Old_Fart 26 September 2003 02:55 PM

Crikey! 600lbs! Thems heavy wings!
Chuck

Anyone know anywhere cheaper than this ????????

Wide arch bodykit for 4 door Subaru WRX converts to RB22. Complete kit consists of side skirts, door skins, front bumper and grill, rear bumper, 2 piece rear spoiler, wheel arch mouldings, front wings, £1295 + VAT (new).

Scooby96 26 September 2003 03:45 PM

For all those parts that sound cheap - how much is fitting?

minty 26 September 2003 03:47 PM

it will cost you a few scrapped knuckles and plenty of hours frustration.

I think it's DIY. :)

floppy dave 26 September 2003 04:18 PM

shocking......... your stepping back into the realm of the nova boys slapping tons of fibreglass and filler all over the scoob! IMHO, leave the scoob how it is and spend on running gear or buy a 22B ?

Adam M 26 September 2003 04:35 PM

600lbs heavier?

what utter cr4p.

the front and rear bumpers are lighter than standard, and the front and rear arches replace the standard ones with ones which bend differently.

where do people get their info from?

600lbs is about 250kgs ffs! they would have to be made of gold to weigh anything like that much!

minty 26 September 2003 04:40 PM

The price would seem to reflect this :) (gold 22b kit)

Scooby96 26 September 2003 04:47 PM

I think someone was saying the kerb weight of a 22b is 600kg more - even that I think is wrong

Adam M 26 September 2003 04:56 PM

well a type r is about 1270kg.

so you think a 22B is 50% heavier almost?

iirc, the book weight for a 22B is actually 40kg lighter than the type r.

Stealth 26 September 2003 05:06 PM

Gotta agree with Floppy, Spend the money on running gear or some subtle bits of body work.... MRO front splitter and side skirts.

The problem with the 22B body kit is, yes it flares the arches out but then the car looks naff because the offset hasn't changed on the wheels and the car dwarfs them.

IMHO it doesn't look nice, makes the car heavier and you will probably get the grief that escort boys get when they try and make their 1.3 Ghia look like a cossy!!!

minty 26 September 2003 05:18 PM

Do you not fit spacers to the wheels to make them look correct ?

Were not talking a sticky back plastic kit here - this will be professionally fitted and replace current arches etc. i think the pictures look quality !!

scooby-si 26 September 2003 05:47 PM

u will need alot of spacers m8, or u can get 17" x 8.5" wheels with the right offset

[Edited by scooby-si - 9/26/2003 5:48:33 PM]

Stealth 26 September 2003 05:52 PM

mate, the gap is massive... you would need to stick a Turbo nut between the wheel and the hub to get the right distance it's that big!

22B wheels will only fit a 22B and you'll be hard pressed to find some wheels that will fit the car convincingly and make it look nice!!

scooby-si 26 September 2003 05:56 PM

sell u mine for £3000 ;)

BOB.T 26 September 2003 06:04 PM

600lbs in wings, fook off:D:D:D
