Believe it or not - PCWORLD - I couln't find it cheaper on line including P&P.
£199 inc vat today for Viewsonic (Excellent piece of kit)
Search for car sat nav shops on line and you may be able to get the TOMTOM and GPS cheaper than me, but I wanted it yesterday.
Also you can get a basic GPS for the viewsonic from

I use TomTom Nav 2 on my HP Ipaq 5450. Great piece of kit. Invaluable today in Birmingham
The only thing to watch is that, at least on the Ipaq, the voice instructions are barely audible..... Gotta turn the radio right down to hear

...and with TomTom Nav 2 you can use free Point of Interest (POI) software (Checkpoint is a freeware version) to warn you in advance of speed camera sitings. The database is updated frequently online. Get all the info you need from http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/

Harry_boy,
AFAIK you can get a powered cradle for a 5450 that's got a speaker included for cranking up the volume...
I'm thinking about a 2210 and TTN2 at some point when I get some brass spare
See you at a Bridge meeting sometime
Apple

I bought a powered cradle from www.expansys.com
Part No CM55 and I also bought a vent plate CM47 and some other parts.
This means the cradle powers the PDA and also has a built-in amplified speaker, with volume control, so as you can adjust the sound volume from very quiet to VERY loud.
BTW - If you only need UK maps, you can buy a UK only version on TomTom Nav2 for approx £95.
Chris.
