Angry

a sweet and sour story here really. i caught 2 kids, 13 year old kinda looking kids, stealing my silver air valve caps from my new alloys whilst the car was parked up on the drive. before they could run i was in their face ranting and raving. they handed back my caps and left with a telling off and their tails between their legs. only problem is that now im waiting for them to come back and damage my car in some way. and ive removed the caps cos its just not worth the aggro. it wasnt like that in my day, kids showed respect ....................la la la......................etc etc

Thieving scum, they should be locked up and the key thrown away!
Seriously though by the sounds of it they will be too scared to come back near the place, most 13 year olds are easily frightened, only a small amount are real trouble and would come back for revenge

I had exactly the same. By the time I'd finished ranting he was blubbing like a baby. When he wouldn't tell me his parents phone number I made out that I called the plod and withheld his bike, how did he like having his possessions taken? Made his life miserable for about 10 minutes then sent him packing, little ****.

Thumbs up

ha ha ha. wish i had been more calm and collected, but all i was thinking was, dont hit them, dont hit them. after it was over i paced up and down the living room digging a trench mark for ages cos of the frustration of not being able to take my anger out on them.

I had similar happen to me - bunch of 13-14 year olds on bikes hanging around my car in a car park, when I return 5 mins later, valve caps gone, third set in a month. Not very happy, drove home but on the way saw the group, who saw me, split up and did a runner. I chased after one, me in car, him on bike, and actually caught him.

Anyway, I lost it bigtime - had him up against the wall by the throat, screaming and shouting at him. At first he denied it, then said it was his mates, so he couldn't give the caps back. I told him to tell his mates not to do it anymore, slashed his tyres and left.

I have had no trouble like this since, although I'm not advocating this course of action.

Its not big, and its not clever, but it happened. Flame suit ready.

V5 Man

Just stick a video camera in the front window with the lens peeking from under the net curtains. They will think twice when they see that.

Trouble is the theiving little ******* will just come back and get them another time just to "get one over you".....sad really.

Had the same trouble on mine a few months back, caps got stolen as soon as I'd put new ones on. Eventually got talking to one of them......turned out to be a an alright kid.....let him sit in the car and basically have a good look round it............had absolutely no trouble since at all.

Same thing happened to my chrome valve caps last week, only had the car 1 day

Dont know who did it, but there are loads of kids round here - keep eyeing up their bike wheels for clues
