Wasn't that supposedly on of the reasons for the delay - poor paint quality on certain parts?
I'm sure someone put the statemena from IM on the BBS a few weks ago.

A few things that some of you guys might be interested in or be able to help with.
I have one of the early P1's and have now got some serious chipping on the front lip spoiler. The car has only done 2.2k and whilst I would expect some chipping on the front end (especialy that low down) I am not sure that it should have as much as it now does. The chipping only seems to be on the non-factory parts i.e. the added lip spoiler and the Hella driving lamp surrounds. The ex-factory bumper/bonnet/driving lamp covers (as opposed to surrounds) etc are almost completely void of chips. What I was hoping to find out was whether anyone with an early P1 has noticed similar chipping and also if anyone can confirm that these were the problems which contributed to the almighty delay in further deliveries of P1's? In certain lighting conditions the lip spoiler also seems to be a slightly different colour which I hadn't noticed till Ian Cook pointed it out to me at Knockhill recently.
Yesterday I was coming back from Perth and decided to take the twisty route up through Glenfarg. I went over a drain cover at the side of the road and although the drain cover was not particularly sunken there was an unusual thump from the front nearside and thereafter every bump I went over produced a heavy metallic thumping sound. I stopped and had a quick look but could see nothing so I drove slowly for the last 3-4 miles till I got home. When I got home I had a closer look and discovered that the nearside front anti-roll bar bush had come free of its retaining bracket! I seem to recall that this has been a common problem for some versions - is this the case and is there a solution to the problem? Anyway, it was fairly easy to put back into place but the bush has been damaged, probably as a result of being half-in, half-out of the bracket and being 'stabbed' by the retaining lugs. I am currently waiting for Town & County to get their act together with regards to their takeover of Anderson Cars in Perth so that I can get the above items checked under warranty. These are minor problems and overall the car is just superb in comparison to my '98 UK Turbo except for the brakes which just cope on the road when pushing it but fail miserably on the track. The big improvements over my '98 car are the torque (obviously , the handling (less roll, better turn-in and more evenly balanced front to rear) and the gearbox which has a much slicker feel and is so much better (can even engage first whilst moving!). Could maybe do with something to help the engine breath better at high revs though.
