Your lucky mate.
My mate hit a sheep at speed in a Ford Escort MK3, bloody thing was just over the brow of an hump-backed bridge,at night , wrote his car off, and mangled the sheep into small peices. He managed to get the farmer done for not having decent fencing around his farm,as it is the farmers reponsability to keep his flock under control and away from public highways, made an interesting insurance claim though.
Roo bars can make sense sometimes, but not on a Scoob

Anywhere near Burnham Beeches by any chance?
And did you get any large bits into the freezer on time.....
Could do a BBQ on Sunday if you want. I'll bring the buns, briquettes and chili sauce :-)

I did exactly the same.........
The only visble damage was a busted foglamp, but the bill was over £1400 by the time cooling and aircon rads, bumper etc had been replaced.
Also my son was following in his car, got showered with broken plastic and glass, and needed a full respray!

Be grateful it wasn't a Red deer mate. Those are as big as a horse.
My brother in law hit a roe deer at 60 in his Audi Quattro A2 rally replica with all the Monte style headlights on it. Did a grands worth of front end damage and 800 quids worth of spots.
What is the line about a fool and his money?

Count yourself lucky mate - could've been alot worse!!!
Dinomre Hill (nr Hereford) is renowned for its Deer - the amount of cars that have been wrtten off up there due to high-speed impacts is incredible!!
Hope it gets sorted soon .

As Zeolite says you got off not too badly. One of the drivers in my depot hit a Red deer coming down from Fort William in an artic, the front of the truck was destroyed, burst radiator, oil cooler, intercooler and headlights, fogs and all the plastics. He reckoned the thing must have weighed over a tonne. After recovery ,fixing and painting the bill was just short of £5000.
Thats why a lot of trucks you see have spotlights all over them, not just for show, they really come into ther own on the pitch black country roads

Seems quite common around this region - fella at work had one jump over a hedge and land on his roof as the road ran through a bit of a cutting. Apparantly the deer just got up and ran away
Nobody seemed to know how to get the hoof marks out of his roof so I think they are still there
PS Could it be worth looking into having the head stuffed and mounted as a trophy for your dining room wall?

Someone's nicked me deer!! Spent all morning picking flesh out of all the nooks and crannies and someone stole me trophy! Still only damage is broken reg plate and a very very slight dent...no one else can see it BUT I know it's there.....
Have noticed a strong smell of roasting venison though when the engines warm.......

If you had stopped and picked up the road kill you could be done for poaching. How crap is that. But if someone else get's it then that is ok. Strange but true, Law of the Land thing.
