No....not as technical as that....it is just to remind you which side the fuel filler cap is on The Ford Focus has got the same thing.

Edited to say A4MHU got there first!

I think this may take the crown from the brightness switch, for the most useless part on the Impreza!

There is a "fuel flap > " indicator on the instrument binnacle, but no matter how I try I can't get the thing to flash, light up, beep or anything - WTF is it for then?

Not seen one, but I could only imagine it lights up if the flap is open...

I think you will find it is simply there to tell you which side the flap is - you will find it has a little arrow beside.

Fuel Flap >

i.e. its on the drivers side - just incase you forget !

It doesnt light up, it is to indicate what side your flap is on.

Thumbs down

Spose if you have a large collection of cars it's useful to be reminded which side to fill when you drive into a forecourt

I don't

Verdict: pointless graphic.

For me it has to be the bl**dy seat belt alarm sounder. Who on earth thought of that one? Anyone know how to turn it off.

Not that I drive around much without a seat belt, but every now and again I just wish it would shut the f*** up!
