Trade in Price for MY99
#1
I am planning on getting a newer scoob, my company car is going next month and I need to buy direct so with the extra budget I could get a higher spec one...
My car is MY99, 2 owners including me, 40k miles, tracker monitor, standard, optional CD changer, immaculate condition, FSSH
If I was trading what can I expect in the way of an offer?

Boro, I take it you are working from Augusts book, Septembers is already out and most people I know are quoting from that.
As for your price I assume you took the middle price as August bottom book was £7525 for a MY99.
As Far as I know, Scoobs are valued atleast a grand under glasses list price, the guide just books them strong.
You can of course correct me if I am wrong.

Stand corrected scoobyvirgin, i am indeed quoting from SEPTEMBERS book and middle price? Glass's Guide doesnt have a middle price
Page 1216 shows the following:-
Impreza 2.0 Turbo
Sal 4dr 4wd Turbo 215bhp 20775 NEW £9750 Retail £7800 Trade thats based on 48k
What you have to appreciate is a dealer may "price" the car at £10995 but it would never sell for that. The higher the price, the less people will look at it BUT the more discount the dealer can give (making it LOOK like a better deal).
"WOW the dealer knocked a £1000 off for me "
Its all swings and roundabouts.

Ouch!!
As an enquiry against an STi for February (when mine will be 3 years old) I was offered £12,500ish - have a MY00 (reg Feb 2001, X-reg), FSSH, immaculate with PPP and Prodrive spoiler, tracker, A/C, morette headlights, MD player, and 36k miles.
How tempting is that !!!!
