when i refuel to the brim, the performance is obviously not the same as when i have a 1/4 of fuel left. the diffence is quite a bit though, so i was wondering, how much exactly does a full tank weigh compared to 1/2, 1/4 ??

Well a full tank obviously weighs 2 x 1/2 a tank and 4 times a 1/4 tank.

That makes it 1lb per pint, 1.76lb per litre, 88 lbs for 50 litres, which is 40kg. Seems about right.
A 30kg weight saving is quite a bit.

1 gallon of fuel weighs 6lbs

The Impreza has a 60 litre fuel tank

1 gallon = 4.456 litres so 1 litre weighs 1.34Lbs

A full tank of fuel weighs 80.79Lbs or 36.64Kg

1/4 tank weighs 9.16Kg
1/2 tank weighs 18.32Kg
3/4 tank weighs 27.48Kg
full tank weighs 36.64Kg
