Mods - no response in Brakes, any chance of leaving this here for a day or so???
-----
Just got the Prodrive 330mm brake kit.
I thought that these came with 2500 pads, but on the back of them it says:
PDBP (prodrive brake pad?) 733S.4
P-F 2
096
Anyone know what these are??? I don't want to put em on and find out they are those 3000's that caused all the warranty issues.

Don't know what is on the back of the pads, but as far as I know they come with DS 2000 as standard, and yes DS 2500 is preferable. You will know very rapidly if they are DS 3000 or not as they screech like a ba5tard around town while they are cold, but will try to put you through the windscreen when they are hot Great pads, on track.

As above..if they work when cold and don't screech they arent DS3k's. Sadly Prodrive/IM remove Alcons model number to make it more difficult for you to source them independently
I find it impossible to believe DS3k would be sent out these days though..I thought they just used DS2k.

OK, thanks guys.
Should I get them fitted by Subaru, or will it be ok to get them fitted by a specialist like Powerstation.
Warranty-wise I mean.

Fitting...well I dunno about the warranty..I wouldn't expect any problems getting them fitted whereever you like.
You will want to get braided hoses all 'round whilst you are at it, and some higher spec brake fluid..had mine done at Scoobysport.
Bedding in..I did something like(on a quiet/private road)...
10 stops from 60ish to 5mph ish.
Let cool.
10 harder stops from 60 up to 80 down to 5mph.
cool.
10 pretty good stomps from 90
Then regular use with occasional Donington days thrown in.
Enjoy

Right, booked in at powerstation for Tuesday morning, braided lines and dot4 fluid. Got to go to London (via the ace cafe meet) in the afternoon, so I'll be coming off at every junction on the way. They should be bedded in by Reading.
Thanks again
