Just driven the new WRX and very taken with the smoother more progressive power delivery. Feels much better (quicker and improved flexibility in gears) than my MY01 WRX Wagon, but nearly fell out the chair when dealer told me how little my car is now worth as a part exchange. Therefore I am wondering would it be better to go for PPP on my car to improve performance and flexibility (torque).
Grateful for any thoughts/comments from those that have experience of the before and after effect of PPP.
Many thanks in advance.

Get PPP !! It improves the torque no end to the point you can change up at 4-4500 rpm and get another rewarding surge in the next gear. I would argue that a PPP'd MY01/2 would eat a standard MY03. However a PPP'd MY03 is a different story. Save you money, get the PPP done on your car and then buy a PPP MY03 in a year or two when the residuals of the MY01/2 should have levelled off (hopefully).

Thanks for the advice.
Test drive was at Colchester as that's where my Wagon came from and I thought maybe I would get a better deal. Might try some others, ie Days and Wilsons but as the shortfall was so great I might just go for PPP instead.
Hi Blobster, what you got just in case I see you around?
Pro Boy are you in the local area as well not seen STI8 yet hereabouts.

Looks like Braintree is THE town to live in if you drive a Scooby.
I too keep the faith in a black 03 PPP wagon in & around Braintree.
Going back to your original dilemma aqua.I would defo check out the other two dealers & then play them off against each other. You can always be liberal with how much the best offer, that you have received, has been from the others. If you know what I mean.
Oh & the PPP on the 03 is awesome.Only thing it needs now is tautening up at the rear(awaiting e-mail from TSL)then it will really fly.

Hello Flat Eric
You weren't by any chance visiting the Great Notley village hall last week (evening) as I saw a black 03 wagon parked in the carpark and it looked awesome?
Know what you mean by the way re. dealers but the shortfall is too great I think to even be a little creative with the p/ex figures....

Sorry not me at GNGV although I have seen a couple of other black 03 wagons about the town. This is my ride :-
Wagon of Doom
I know what you mean about residuals,I traded in my 01 UK300 & was told by one dealer that "book" on a 01 WRX was £14000 & he would generously give me £500 over "book"! Needless to say I went elsewhere.

Aqua, I know the one you mean, but it's not me.
Imagine buying what you think is a rare car only to find another one living in the same town.
I've seen a white haired lady driving that one.
Hello to Flat Eric as well. I think I see you around and about quite often. Did you own a P1 prior to the UK300?
Cheers all.
Waving and flashing in overdrive from now on.

Blobster - Yep.The UK300 felt a bit flat after the P1 hence the PPP on the wagon.Did get more looks/interest in the UK300 though.

Saw you in the wagon the other day, but was driving the wife in her Ka, so no wave (you would have thought me a lunatic).
I was new to the area when you had the P1, and had just started saving for my Scoob. If you ever found any drool over it, then apologies, it was probably me.
