I'm now a EcuTek dealer so we now have complete control over the Ecu settings.

anyone care to answer one or more of my questions (or post some piccies):
whats i like? have you compared it to a euro/uk model?
do you still get the four pot burble from the engine?
what does the enhanced diff system(DCCD-A) feel like in comparison to any previous scoobs you have driven?
are there any other goodies that you have over UK/EURO spec?

Eagle,
Iain Litchfield (he has a banner advert) says he has a 'C' spec STi8, he may be able to comment on.
Damian.

whats i like? have you compared it to a euro/uk model? - Brill Feels completely different and much more responsive.
do you still get the four pot burble from the engine? - Yes but its much quieter, I'm sure a more free flowing exhaust would help .
What does the enhanced diff system(DCCD-A) feel like in comparison to any previous scoobs you have driven?
It feels similar in normal driving to any of the RA/22B's I have had but when you push on you can really sence the diffs shifting the power about, Evo style. I love it
are there any other goodies that you have over UK/EURO spec?
The Spec C has
Twin scroll turbo
Ball bearing turbo
12 Litre Intercooler water spray with auto mode
Enlarged induction pipes
Different Inlet cam
Equal Length Manifold
Motorsport ECU
Additional engine & Gearbox oil cooler
Cross ratio 6MT
Driver's control centre diff (+Auto Switch)
Front LSD
Rear mechanical LSD
Super sports ABS with EBD
BBS alloy wheels
Special Bridgstone Tyres
Lightweight glass, doors, boot and roof
Hand Brake turn helper
Smoke type headlamp
Restlyed front bumper
Roof ventilator
Red illuminate Dials
New platform (Longer wheel base)
Different Sub frame offset
Our car also has the optional:
STI body kit
STI carbon fibre rear wing
STI guages
Regards

I dont have a problem with it, in my view scoobynet is a great way for people to share info & I dont care what people post if it helps others, I only posted because some people seem to get a pasting from people & they dont even go as far as giving prices etc.
When I had the Scoob I found lots of helpful people & companies through Scoobynet & it saved me a lot of hassle & money so long may it continue.
Also NOTHING against Ian personaly, only met him the once at powerstation but seemed a thouroughly decent guy (if you read this Ian the headgasket blew but I got as far as Imola)
I just feel that if only those who have banners are allowed to advertise its going a tadge towards selective comercial advertising
Anyway thats my thoughts which are nothing to do with the thread so OK I've posted again but lets drift this post back towards those who want the best Impreza that Scoob can offer, its far more interesting (pronounced FUN)

Hmmmmmm, I better start saving a little harder!
That looks like my dream car, i have got to try out the hand-brake turn helper!!!!
What exactly does that do? Am i along the right lines in thinking that it disengages the centre diff when the handbrake is applied so that you can lock rear wheels?
Makes you wonder why anyone would buy a euro spec at all really apart from the warranty and saving a few quid. I cant believe IM did not pick some of these options for the UK model. It sounds like a far better car.

Eagle7 you may not have to save as hard as you first thought, as the JDM STi spec C with RAC trackstar and Cat1 alarm is £26,895 OTR from www.emperorimports.co.uk
Also Emperor Imports would be willing to knock £250 from the OTR price for any Scoobynet plus membership holders placing an order with us, making the car cost just £26,645! as can been seen in this link to the Scoobyshop.

cheers ian

lol at Ian
Eagle 7: the Handbrake helper does disengage the diff quickly, some of the older RA's also did this
Scooby Dooby Blue: The gauges are lovely factory option Defi's but with the STI logo printed onto them
The car is VERY quick, I should also say that all of our Japanese Spec Subarus are remapped for UK fuel. The car had 297bhp in std form but after some dyno time we managed 320bhp/325lbft. All with the Std Exhaust!
You should see a road test in some magazines soon
