I'm having the PPP fitted to my STi8 today. Will I receive a certificate of fitment? If not, when I sell the car how do I prove that it was fitted?

Also, what "old" parts can I expect to come away with, ie. do I get the old ECU, the old backbox, etc.????

Yes you get a certificate. The old parts will just be the replacement exhaust as the existing ECU is modified.

Jammy bugger!

you should also get the old fuel pump as well, as a freinds came with an uprated one in the kit.
The certificate you leave in the service pack so the servicing garage knows its been fitted "officially" and thus covers any warranty aspect, so dont take it out and frame it, mind you, after paying out nearly 2k, id want it framed myself!!

Hello m8
Hope you remembered to leave both sets of keys at the garage, for the key fob re-programme

Enjoy it, cheers Steve

I knew some/all of the exhaust was being replaced, just wasn't sure what else I'd be bringing home with me!

Thanks for the replies.

It's the downpipe, centre and back box that are replaced, although I chose to skip the downpipe and centre.

I don't the keys are an issue on the 8's though. I only took 1 and both still work fine.

As mentioned, put the certificate in with your service book.

Enjoy!

scoobyslut,

you mention an uprated fuel pump. Does the PPP kit now include this ?

How can you only have part of the kit fitted. ?????? If the ecu has been changed then both keys have to be reprogrammed ??

Keys don't need re-programming if you have the kit fitted at Prodrive and they modify your existing ECU

Depends on the ECU that they fit . Isn't the Sti8 using ECUTEK ?

What I can't understand is why somebody wouldn't want the sxhaust bits on ??

Yes I agree if it is a WRX then if it is fitted at Prodrive then the keys should be ok
