Scooby Regular
AFAIK the original reference to 'Scooby Doo Farmers Cars' was made by John Goodman to Richard Dreyfus in Always, a monumentally sentimental girlie flick from the mid-late eighties

Thanks for that Jason .... that site shows:
>> So finally in Japan SUBARU is pronounced : " S'BAL " <<
So .... It's not a Subaru after all. What you are actually driving is a S'Bal ...... so there ! ...
I used to correspond with a Japanese Language professor with whom I shared a common interest. IIRC, before he retired, he used to broadcast (in english) on the Japanese equivalent of our World Service. Again, if IRCC, he told me that the name Honda ... "HonDA" means something like "No 1 Rice Paddy" ..... also; Toyo..TA!
And what about Ferrari ??? Isn't that Italian for Smith. Ferrous ... figures? So, who wants to drive a common or garden Smith ...
So, why does something called a "PeoplesCar" over there (VW), sell like hot cakes over here?
Anyone with more accurate interpretations of any of the above please advise ....
Funny old game people and cars ....
I think the name Subaru they way we say it has a much nicer ring to it .... the other sounds like a load of Sbals .....
