Funny enuff, I was thinking of tinted P1'y windows last night, I reckon it'll look superb (overall a lot more subtle than standard model), how much? Did you buy the wheels as an extra? I was considering getting some 18'ers but it pushed my budget a bit. If I could get something back on the standard wheels it may be worth doing, also saving the cost of respraying. How did you get on with insurance? I spoke to Liverpool & Victoria, my current insurer and they said it would go from £750 to no more than £985 which I thought was pretty good. I explained about deadlocaks and tracker and they are getting the underwriters to look at it as the motor isn't on their system yet.

Thumbs up

Andy I was amazed as well that my insurance for the STi 8 came in at £584 protected. I got an e-mail from elephant after I went through the quote saying they had dropped it from the £611 they had initially quoted me This works out to be cheaper than my Civic Type R

Robport, go for the safety glass tint, I had this fitted prior to pick up. I thought the light tint was just right, added safeglass to, so the oiks can't break me windows to nick the 60p in silver in my ashtray!

Alright lads you've made my mind up i'm going for the tinted safety glass.
Griff your car looks mean.
As for ins. i used to be in the ins. game and I insure through priviledge they came up trumps have P1 at the mo protected which was £1086 with the sti I will get a rebate of £150 quid for the remaining 10 mths.
Make sure you all check with your insurers that this is the 2003 model as my mate said the majority of insurers haven't got it on their systems yet.So make sure you tell em its the 2003 model and get them too check with their underwriters..

Phillip in answer to your question, no I'm not ancient

I'm 30 with 6 years NCB and the car is garaged.

I guess I have a good postcode

Bear in mind that the new WRX and STI both have deadlocks which insurers like, and also that the STI comes with tracking as standard.

About time Subaru got decent locks on the car - this is Good News!!!!

Cheers,
Nick.
