The MY2000 was available from the back end of 1999 ... MY99 available from the back end of 1998 etc etc

Below is what your car should have to be a MY2000 ...

MY2000
The 2000 car added some minor but welcome changes to the 1999 model, following the theme of contunual development.

The most obvious changes are the wheel design. Out went the much loved curved 5 spoke design, to be replaced with a 6 slender spoke design. Opinions on the new wheel style are generally mixed, but more owners prefer the older 5 spoke design to the newer one.

Other changes include colour coded mirrors and door handles, adjustable intermittent wiper speeds, remote central locking (was already fitted prior to delivery for UK cars with the alarm system), a metallic fascia, map reading lights and a new gear ****.

The very popular Dark Blue Mica colour was replaced by a slightly lighted Deep Blue Mica, and a new Red Mica Metallic colour was added to the range.

There are a few other little differences on the MY00 IIRC, like the variable intermittant front windscreen wiper.

probably a 99. The MY00 had colour coded mirrors and door handles, as well as some other gizmo's - map reading lights for example.

try the SIDC FAQ for more info...

(something like www.sidc.co.uk/faq.html IIRC)

00MY has colour coded mirrors and door handles, intermitent wiper adjustment and six spoke instead of five spoke wheels, I think that's about it.

If it's not got colour coded mirrors, it's a 99 model.

Other changes to look for are a variable interval intermittent windscreen wipe, found by a roller on the right-hand column stalk, and seatbelts that lock when you pull em all the way out. Something to do with child seats, apparently.
Nick.

MY00 has coloured coded mirrors and handles not sills.
Some 99s were sold as early 00s, hence V reg's with non colour coding.
Sills etc are easily coloured coded as an option after purchase (I had my sills done).
Easiest way to check is either the labels on the seatbelts or the labels on the ECU. MY00s had green label AE802s, MY99s had either black AE800s (early cars) or brown AE801s (the majority).
