I've heard that some cars actually pass with full decat, but usually after the car has been well warmed up prior to the test

Don't know if this helps. You could always put back the first CAT and remove again after the test

Take the car for a good blast before the test to get it warm and see if it will get through the emissions test as the first job.

Have at least one cat pipe in the boot in case it doesn't, then the garage can put it on the car if it fails. It's a bit cheeky, but as long as the garage is happy doing that it will be OK.

You can get them to change it back afterwards as well

I also heard that running 95 RON fuel helps clean the emissions up. Just have a drop in the bottom of the tank for the test so you can put something more sensible in afterwards. (This one's risky - I wouldn't want to do it to a tuned Scoob, and if you do be careful on the warm up blast.)

Exclamation

I think you'll find that there is NO way a fully decated Scooby will pass an emissions test.

My car failed with a full de-cat on Saturday, and then failed again this morning with the catted downpipe fitted due to CO2 levels of about 3%

I'd be interested if you find somewhere where their machine is so well set up that my car will pass

You live in Liverpool and you have a MY95 with magnex full decat.......and your MOT is due in February

Where do you go to get it done???

Anyone?

Surely someone has gone through an MOT with full decat

Cheers

Edited to say I still have the Centre Section and Downpipe but wouldn't know how to get it back on, bit of a gimp when it comes to this sort of thing!!
