Not sure whether they will be off the shelf items Phil, I spotted it tonight on the Subaru.co.uk website, you may have to order. I will certainly be on the phone tomorrow too.

Don't think that Subaru do one for the classic but Nitrosport do for both new age and classic but are £90 !!. I've got one on my new age complete with leather gear gatier (sp ?) which I got through the group buy that was organised here on Scoobynet several months ago.
I believe TSL also do these for both models

Ive got one from NITO. It is virtually identical to the STI7 one & is secured in. Looks great.

Maybe worth finding out whether the OE one is secured in or stuck on though.

Wink

Just picked it up

Looks good quality[for a change]

That price is PLUS VAT

It is not just a stick on you have to remove the assembly and do a bit of drilling

Drilling (sounds dodgy) Wouldnt trust myself to do it. However the Nitosport one requires you to take the trim off around the gearstick & screw in with out the need to drill any holes.

Phil, please explain a little more, I have ordered one. Can't you get away with making the holes with a bradawl or small hand drill with the console in situ ?

Yorkie

I'm sure you could stick it on but its a Solid lump of Ali

There is actually a frame piece that fits underneath the unit then the surround bolts onto the frame

This should make it very solid

I will take some pic's of the pieces in the morning so you can see what I am saying

Thanks Phil, I had a bit of a "feel around" this morning tugging and pulling at the centre console to try and find where the fixings were. I'd appreciate your advice as well, so please let us know how you get on.
