I've just ad that wonderful news we all look forward to - Somebody was skillful enough to drive into my parked Impreza. Still waiting for the police to give me the deails - don't yet know if they have anyone for it. Anyone had this sort of thing happen to them? Any hints what to be aware of etc? having a quick look (cos its dark) I can see that I'll need new RH skirts, and panels, back right wheel doesnt look too good so I'm not sure whats hapenning underneath susp. wise. Any help would be great cheers

I had a similar incident with my car a few months back.

Get onto your Insurance Company ASAP and report it
Get the car checked out by Subaru ASAP
remember that YOU can choose who carries out the repairs to your car, subject to a reasonable quote.

Cheers Ian, just got the call I needed from the police - guy who did it was good enough to stop and report it, and has accepted full responsibility. I'll be onto my insurers first thing, the Subaru garage, and the this guys employers (company car).

Get it reported to yuor insurance ASAP I had my claim initiated within 10 minutes of the incident happening, and my car was being checked out by Subaru within an hours.

My car was hit at 4pm on a Monday evening.

Also let your insurance company deal with all the contact with the third parties insurance.
