Hi All

Now the shop has been running for over a month, what is the general feeling about it?

Do you look at it? What do you think to the product range, etc, etc?

Have you looked at it once, then forgotten about it? Or do you look at it every day?

How can we make it better?

All the best

Simon

Thumbs up

I looked at it on day one, and decided that there wasn't anything I actually wanted to buy at the time. I signed up anyway just because I think I've had at least £25 worth of value out of Scoobynet anyway, and wanted to give something back.

Since then, I've watched the savings counter increase (so I know new stuff is appearing), but really don't have the time to trawl through the whole shop to see what's new. A list of the top 10 most recent products on the shop's home page is something I'd check regularly, and might tempt me to spend.

Agree with Andy - a top 10 of new additions would be cool, as would a top 10 of the most bought products

Ordered a Dawes from Jamie and a fuel pump from Mark. I know there are other things on my shopping list but I'm unable to purchase it as of yet from the scoobyshop.

Same as Andy really, logged on looked at it didnt see anything that took my fancy and warrented £25 membership other than a Lip spoiler that I can buy direct from MRO a lot cheaper then what is advertised on Scoobyshop.
Good idea if you have a big wallet

As im just starting to tune my scoob and i find scoobyshop very usefull BUT it is still not clear as which vendors actually include vat and which do not. It would be a rude awakening if you thought you bought a strker kit for £2300 and then found that you were charged an extra £400 for the VAT. As soon as the VAT problem is sorted then i will gladly hand over the membership money and start buying products.
Keep up the good effort lads

Hi All

Remember. This thread is about using ScoobyShop.. not just signing up for ScoobyNetPlus. You can use scoobyshop to compare products, browse and buy without signing up for scoobynetplus membership. It is just that you get the discount if you sign up.

If the shop doesn't have the products you want, please let us know here and we will work hard to try to bring them to you.

All the best

Question

What i find strange is that some products even with scoobynet plus discount you can still get them cheaper elsewhere.
For example i am after an Air-Dam for my MYOO at the mo and been looking around from MRO styling it is £145.00, but from scoobyshop the same item which i can gather is made also by MRO styling as the wording and pictures are identical, is being sold by TSL with discount is £156.20 now forgive me but where is the incentive in that i can get the exact product £11.20 cheaper without forking out £25.00 to start with. I think some things need looking at a bit closer before i fork out £25.00

It may be a good idea to have a list of vendors available as well. I saw a product on Scoobynet which looked interesting but saw it as I changed page on the little banner ad thing. All I caught was the first part of the vendor name, but when you go to the shop there is not list of vendors.

May be an idea?

Look at it a few times a week.

New products listing would be good, as I hate receiving emails for that sort of thing

Yes & Yes. More so, now that I don't have an Impreza.

I do browse the shop... but I am a cheap skate and buy most of my stuff secondhand.. use it to compare prices and have given the url to my family for Xmas present ideas so I might have used it without knowing I can but hope.

Would be nice to see some normal wear and tear items in there like dealer parts... but probably unlikely to get a dealer to sign up..

I am fairly new to the board but do browse the shop quite a lot to get an idea of whats available, is it just me or do a lot of the banners at the top of the page not work,

Hi Guys

Thanks for all the feedback so far.

Scoobyfella
That product is the source of some controversy at present as MRO sell that particular product at a lower price direct than their dealers are able to sell it for. I think you would find that this isolated instance is not a standard thing across the shop.

DW.. good idea on the vendor list. You can also use the search facility for the product name if you spotted that.

Sounds like the "new product listing" is important so we'll look in to a good way of doing that.

JGM
Dealers are the next target for us. There is no problem with them signing up, it's just that we have to do a certain amount of things first to make it all "proper".

jaf01uk
The banners should all work. (although the tyres northampton site is down at present). They do have a timeout though (which I think we'll increase).

Keep it coming.

All the best

I hadn't bothered 'cos I guessed there was nothing for my Forester S-turbo. Just had a look and searched for 'forester' and the only thing that came up was scoobynet's exhaust with no description as to extra BHP, sound or noise levels. So I'm not going to look again.

Don't blame you Toerag! No point in looking any further or you might accidentally find something that you want!

May be worth you browsing the categories as many products are of interest to people who own forresters (or fiestas, or golfs, or no car at all). Not everything in the shop is to do with motoring, and not all the motoring products are specific to subarus let alone imprezas.

All the best

Be good if we could order online through scoobynet rather than have to phone up TSL or MRO as an example and order.

items in stock is an interesting one... Will think about that, but would think it will be unworkable.

ordering online is a real double edged sword, so we're putting a lot of time in to thinking about the best ways of doing this.

thanks again

Do I look? Yes, do I buy? No. Why?
1) I've not got membership yet (cos can't find my chequebook)
2) No money and it's a tease to look at all those goodies

But it IS an asset to us all.

Can agree with the online ordering being a double edge sword, but.... I am lazy, and a bit telephobic, plus would not ring TSL, cos Trouser would just persuade me to spend even more (No offence Paul!).
