Group 17 as far as I know, same as all "std" Scooby turbos. I've got one and I'm currently running at just over a grand per year. This is with 6 yrs protected no claims, 25 yrs old, no convictions, via Direct Line. My car is soon to be for sale by the way, if you're interesteed in one.

Its group 18, along with the PPP'd version as there is no difference in insurance costs (silly i know but thats how it goes)

Privilege did make a differentiation when I insured mine through them.

Group 17 - non WR SPort
Group 19 - WR Sport.

My RB5 is an April 99 car, just over 28k miles. It has just had its 30k serice with new discs and pads all round and new P-zeros on the front, total bill £1150!!

Its got FSH from Lancasters, all is standard(air con, quick shift etc,) plus a 6 stack CD. It's also got a Navtrak system which will be transfered with the car.

I was going to give it to Lancasters who have promised £16500 on a sale or return basis, so if anyone can put that in my hand, the car's theirs. I get my co. car on Nov 1st, so it is available then If anyone wants to e-mail directly, you can get me on

Mine has always been group 18 (Admiral, AXA, Adrian Flux). They've never differenciated between the std and Prodrive version.

Best advice is to phone before you buy. It's down to the individual insurer what category they put it in. After all it's their risk.

Yup grp 18, its also a limited edition which will increase the group rating but if you have the PPP fitted then it shouldnt make any difference to your insurance
