We've all driven down the road when a car coming the other way has been flashing there lights like mad. We assume (well I do) that there is a police presence somewhere ahead or another type of hazard - tree blown down etc.
I think we need a recognised sign for when it is the boys in blue.
What about flashing the lights in the normal way but as the oncoming Scooby (or other car) get closer you wave in an agreed way. i.e. you could signal with a pointed finger, (clenched fist other than the pointed index finger) pointing upwards then rotating you arm to signify a rotating light ala police?
What do you think?
Did that make sense?

Hi
Truck drivers use the thumbs down sign to indicate a problem ahead, like an accident or speed trap. Try doing this to a truck after you pass a speed trap. They will all know what you mean a wave. Wworks on car Drivers too IF THEY ARE PAYING ATTENTION.
Cheers
