Help Please MY01 or MY00

i am about to go & put a deposit on either a MY01 wr blue with std wheels & susp, WR spoiler, tsl mid + rear, morrettes.
OR
my00 classic, sonic blue, with some very very tastey mods this is the classic one which is indeed a stunner, the MY01 new age is very nice too but the my00 does excite me whereas the new age is just mmmmm nice! both cars are similarly priced?
HKS front mounted intercooler
Magnex de-cat exhaust
Scoobysport downpipe
induction kit
Uni-chip
HKS evc4 electronic boost controller
Eibach suspension
P1 17" alloys with goodyear F1's
fully colour-coded skirts etc
It was set up by Powerstation at Cheltenham, and was running roughly 270bhp and lots of torque

MY00 looks better but the 01 has more tasteful and value adding mods IMHO. I tend to think extensive mods make cars more un-atractive...

A. Buy a **** ugly car which has intergalactic depreciation

Where did the MY00 originate from? Presumably as its sonic blue it came from Europe/Ireland? I can't believe Pete Lewis is advocating buying an "import"

agreed the my01 doesnt really do it for me either, & it will clearly depreciate much faster too, MY01's with a few mods are going for what 13ish now days & the MYOO's with a similiar spend on mods are going for about 13ish too. a MY98 bmw 328 is about 12k & a new shape MY99/00 328ci are about 18k? also the MY03 is out next yr, how did the new age only last 1 yr? when the classic ran for about 8 or 9? i am confused my heart is on the my00 classic as it looks so cool, but the head is def telling me that a my01 is the sensible choice even though the scoobs aint sensible full stop.

decsicion has been made & the deal has been done, i am (or at least on tuesday) the owner of .................................................. ..............
A WR blue MY01 Y reg with 19k on the clock, from holland, with Morrettes, TSL mid & rear sections, & v sexy WR wing too all for £??500.00 not bad eh, i fell in love with an RB5 today after driving it & i almost very almost bought that, but it was too load & boy racerey, the MY00 in the pic above was stunning & amazing to drive however to boy racer for me. The MY01 felt as quick as the RB5 but just made no fuss at all, when we had all 4 drifting under hard cornering the MY01 just dealt with it if that makes sense, with std brakes & suspension it just felt a more capable & competent car all round, it may not win at the moment on the emotions etc but you cannot argue that it is clearly a more rounded package, those that slagged it off me included i say drive one & drive it hard & the grins are def there, plus the other half wont moan that its too loud ;-)
