Hi there,
After my previous moan i am just wondering if anyone else has fitted these protection strips and where would be the best place for them above or below the indent across the doors, i thought below as they may look to high above.Do they look o.k or have i just wasted £49.00.

No, they are damn good and judging by the scuffs on mine, they've saved a few quid
They go below the door line. Not too clear from these pics, but hopefully it will help.

... but what's the performance like after a couple of years/winters. Is the adhesion such that they're still well on??
Only asking 'cos I'd like some too but I'm suspicious of the sticky on kind versus the mechanically fixed.

They are fine,
Polish before applying and give them a good rub down. They are very sticky.
Will stand speeds of 145mph

I've got these fitted onto a dark blue wagon, not color coded and i think they very good, not sure if they would look so good unpainted on a lighter color vehicle though ..... they have been on there for almost a year and have had no probs, still stuck well.

Hi Mark,
thanks for the reply my motors dark blue as well, what do you mean by give them a good rub down? I guess there isn't much chance of colour coding them they are a bit rubbery arn't they. Do you have to be spot on with them first time and then they are on or can you peel them back if your out a bit.

I got 'em too. Decided that I'd rather have them, then my door dinged. So far so good. Had 'em on a year and they're not showing any signs of falling off.
I keep them clean with one the Wax Wixard's products.

No close ups, sorry!
You can pull them on / off a few times to adjust, but they are really easy to fit.
You need to rub them down to make sure they bond with the metal. you can just see the sticky stuff if you look down on the strips from above. Make sure it has no gaps along it, where it hasn't sealed and they will be fine.
I think they would look good on a lighter car like white, as it would break it up a bit. They are not to big at all. The P1 has nicer, rounded ones, don't know if you can buy them though...

Just to add, you can "gently" stick them in place to line them up. If you rub them down, they might be a bugger to get off!
Also, make sure the doors open freely with the small bits.
