Well, that was interesting reading.... They really did plan this scam quite well didn't they. Pitty that good old Bill and MEat slowly but shorely picked apart their argument. 7500 Bucks to drive on some random road, now where is the logic in that??

I read it as well and thought oo er a bit dodgy. But then I have just been taking a peek at www.pistonheads.com and there is a banner add for the very event on the site.

Pistonheads from what I can gather are a fairly reputable site and as such I don't think they would be game to hosting a banner add if it was slightly dodgy. So I will send the webmaster the link and see what he thinks.

It could be for real ... there's little proof either way from what I read

Put it this way, I'm sure the members of that forum will look pretty damn silly if it does go ahead, and is a roaring success!

Given that you don't appear to have to blindly put up $7.5k - and I can't see many people doing so without some form of evidence, that the cost of the outlay of this "scam" is relatively high, compared to the usual email crap that we get daily spammed with.

I'm keeping an open mind .. so far!

Oh, and isn't anyone a little offended that no-one's tried Scoobynet to promote this
