Motor Show - Letdown?
#1
Hi,
I just got back from the MS and wondered if I am the only one who is a bit disapointed.
The whole day has cost about £60 for two people, and I feel ripped off. (£8 for parking!! why?)
The scooby stand was good, and I like the MY03 very much, and TVR had a good show, as did a few other smaller scale brands like caterham and noble, but where was the ferrari and lambo stands? One car each is crap compared to post shows. No BMW, very few concept cars.
I was gutted not to see the new skyline at nissan too. Or the Z car thing. I paid to visit a car showroom
Plus, the whole thing felt so much more crowded. It was like a cattle market. At one pont I was reacing for the shotgun
As usual Ford saw need to have one of every variation of every model and hogged almost a whole hall.
The evidence is in my camera now I'm back. In the past there has been enough to fill two rolls of film. I have taken 25 shots.
Must sees though are the babes on the 007 film stand, and the ones in red PVC at the donnington red suimulator thingumy. I'd have gotr some pictures but I had the missuz with me he he

Should have gone thursday on preview day , special offer tickets £12.50 and the place was quite, train fare was £14 return and no hassle or cost for parking. Food was a bit OTT price wise though.

What happened to the "Alternative" Motor Show Driven and the AA held at Millbrook last year when the London MS got cancelled?? Would rather do that again than trudge round B'ham!

The motorshow used to be great, back in the days when my mum actually allowed me to have a day off from school for my dad to take me!!
Back then you only queued to sit in the likes of ferrari and lambo. The last time I went, although a few years back. Audi thought that I would actually queue to sit in an S3!!!!
I was like, eh? Why an earth would I queue for that, which resulted in the show being done and dusted in about 35 mins!
