Exclamation

If you have your car parked in your driveway near to your house, watch out!

I've been losing roof tiles and they have been thudding down next to the car. Just moved it a safe distance away.

Walking to the corner shop, I saw a car windscreen being smashed by a refuse bin. Needless to say whoever owns that car will not be a happy chappy when he sees it.

Unhappy

My neighbour woke me up a 9.30 this am cos the very high fence in our street had blown over on top of my motor.
I now have a scrape on the top of the front wing (probably polish out), a damaged drivers side wing mirror and a small dent just under the drivers window.
Needless to say I have now moved the car and the moped to a safer place. Good job too, 5 mins later, the twelve foot high fence collapsed right where the car had been!!

Steve

I am a roofer by trade, and on Friday we were called out by the Police to a car which was written off(in my opinion) by vertical tiles falling onto it.

Also I have a 6ft fence panel sitting on my hard standing, exactly where my WRX is parked......... fortunately the wife started work early this morning so the car was not there....

Goes to show just how invaluable fully comprehensive insurance is..

You'll be able to get an MY03 STI if the weather stays like this!

Don't forget that in the storms in 1989 some guy woke up, and moved his car into the middle of the local car park so nothing would hit it. When he came back to it the roof of the local public toilets had landed on it! Blown about 100 yds!

Yep...a roof slate has hit my second car and the Scooby was rear ended by someone with no tax and insurance who scarpered from the scene early this morning. Bollox weekend

PS When is this wind going to stop as I have also bought two young trees to plant in the garden

Lol

Cleared out half the garage yesterday and put the car in - not cos the weather was going to be bad cut because it was cold and I was working on it
Woke up this morning to find a bloody great plastic kid's sandpit from next door's garden sitting in the drive where my car has sat for the last 3 months

Divine providence?

Reckon the garage roof will collapse on it now, knowing my luck

All scaremongering ... so I went outside to check ... to find 2 roof tiles lying about 2 ft from my car ...

Cars have been moved a bit further back from the house now

Do have a garage, but it would take about a week to clear that out

My mate Ted has just phoned, his TV aerial has blown off the roof and speared his greenhouse 20 yards away. To top it all a stray roof tile has lifted, rolled off and landed on his wifes car bonnet. They are not happy at the moment...Blutes
