My WRX my02 (not STI) is having the PPP fitted on Friday.

Anybody who has this option already who can tell me is it really worth £1600 and is the difference noticable.

I just need some last minute re-assurance.

Many Thanks

Yes it is worth it. They up the boost and fuel properties etc. So the car is far better and pulls from really low rpm. and it keeps your warranty nice and clean!!

But you'll still be miles slower than a 99my
Spend the money on something more radical.

second that!

funny thing, my mate's my02+ PPP & Blitz exhaust system (de-cat) was actually slower than a my01+ Prodrive rear box only. perhaps the 97RON we get here in SA is just not good enough?

My 02 WRX was PPPd yesterday. Much faster than my '98, '96 and '94 Impreza Turbos. I'm very pleased... :-) Well worth the extra.

Cheers

Toonman

I noticed on another thread you had put your WR Sport back box up for sale ?

My local Subaru dealer fitted my Wr Sport Back Box from new (£350) and have told me thats what you get with the PPP and they will split the PPP kit i.e remove the back box and just fit the other parts and in-turn charge me £1200.

So what back box have you got and am i being conned ?

Thanks for your help

Medway

Mike Wood rang me and said the PPP was a complete kit - no splits. Looks like your dealer did the right thing though, and split the kit themselves. Mike said the WR Sport BB is the same as the Prodrive one, except for an oval instead of a round tail pipe. Same sound, same flow etc. I had the round Prodrive BB put on, to keep the kit complete, but if I'd been given a choice, I'd have stuck with the WR Sport. I loved it!

My Dealer said they'd look out for a buyer for my "old" back box, but that was the best they could do.

I'd say you got a good deal; no rip off! :-)

Cheers

Mike
